Happy Autumn, everyone! We’re delighted to announce our collaboration with the lovely Alicia and her adorable daughter from @playtogethergrowtogether on Instagram. If you aren’t familiar with ‘Play Together Grow Together‘, Alicia runs a fantastic blog where she shares her daughter’s learning ‘through the months’ with crafts and creativity. Over on her Instagram, Alicia also shares fun, toddler-friendly activities including recipes, crafts and every day learning so make sure to check out her creative ideas for little ones.
This season, Alicia and her daughter have been getting Halloween-ready with some fun pumpkin painting and we absolutely love their technique! The two have been paint splattering our Wooden Pumpkin Bunting shapes using cardboard boxes, elastic bands, sponges and, of course, bright orange paint. This craft activity is great fun for little ones to enjoy in the lead up to Halloween.
For Play Together Grow Together’s pumpkin painting activity, Alicia has used:
- Wooden Halloween Pumpkin Bunting / Wooden Pumpkin Blank Bunting
- Orange Paint
- Cardboard box / Shoe box
- Elastic bands
- Dish sponge
- Paint palette
Project 1: Stretching elastic bands over a cardboard box to splatter paint!
Project 2: Using a dish sponge to apply paint onto wood.
The final results! These are both super fun activities for little ones to get stuck into some creative Halloween crafting.
